Photos, video or FPV: what does your listing need?

Every listing needs great photos. Whether it also needs aerial shots, a walkthrough video or an FPV fly-through depends on the property and who's likely to buy it.

Photos and aerial: every listing

Bright, straight interior photos are what buyers look at first. Aerial shots add what ground-level photos can't: the size of the plot, the garden, parking and what's around the house. That's the Essentials package, and it suits most flats, terraces and lettings.

Add a walkthrough when layout sells it

If the home has a layout that's hard to picture from photos alone, such as an extension, an open-plan kitchen or a garden that runs a long way back, a walkthrough video helps buyers understand how the rooms connect. It's also the format that gets shared most on social media. That's Showcase.

Add FPV when you want people talking

A one-take FPV fly-through is the most memorable format there is. It suits larger family homes, new builds, homes with a standout garden or view, and agents who want their listings to stand out. That's Signature.

A simple rule of thumb

  • Flat, terrace or let: Essentials
  • Family home, most sales: Showcase
  • Premium home, new build or "wow" garden: Signature
